You don’t want your hair to rip out from the braids near the front edges, so you may want to consider a touch up. Just be sure the touch up does not mean pulling your front edges too tight.
However, you should really want to keep your braids in as up to the three or four months maximum, but if you really can’t stand that maximum time, then the minimal time is one to two months.
Because braiding takes a lot of time, and since it might be expensive to merely get it done for a month or two, we specify these time ranges.
